SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan — A 38-year-old man wanted for rape was arrested on Monday night in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, authorities confirmed.
According to Police Lieutenant Colonel Francis Siriban, Station Commander of QCPD Station 16, Pasong Putik, the suspect had an outstanding warrant of arrest for four counts of qualified statutory rape filed in 2021.
The victim was the suspect’s eight-year-old daughter.
The eight-year-old victim was reportedly picked up by her aunt to spend a vacation in Bulacan prior to the incident.
The suspect, listed as one of the police’s most wanted persons, had gone into hiding after charges were filed against him in August 2021.
A warrant for his arrest was issued in 2023.
The suspect denied the allegations, saying, “Wala po ako masasabi doon sir. Hindi ko po ginawa ‘yon,” insisting on his innocence.
He also admitted that he hid from the authorities out of fear.
The man is currently detained at QCPD Station 16, Pasong Putik, while authorities prepare the necessary documents related to the arrest warrant.
