Market collector shot dead in Bulacan

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — A riding-in-tandem motorcycle suspects shot dead a female market collector in Bocaue, Bulacan on Wednesday afternoon.
A report by Col. Relly Arnedo, Bulacan police director, sent to Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., Central Luzon regional police director, identified the victim as Alona Oliveros, market collector in Barangay Batia, and a resident of Bernardo Compound Barangay Caingin, Bocaue, Bulacan.
Initial police investigation showed that before the shooting incident, the victim boarded a tricycle at the Batia TODA terminal in Barangay Batia, Bocaue, Bulacan.
As the victim was along the road in Barangay Caingin around 2:15 pm, the riding-in-tandem suspects, who were both wearing black jackets and black helmets and onboard a black Suzuki Burghman motorcycle with no plate approached the victim and the backrider disembarked and shot Oliveros twice in the head using a short firearm.
After the shooting, the gunman picked up the shoulder bag of the victim then boarded their motorcycle and fled towards the general directions of Santa Maria-Pandi towns.
