BOCAUE, Bulacan — NLEX Corporation will implement temporary toll relief on the northbound portion of the expressway from Balintawak to Meycauayan starting this Sunday (June 22) at 1:00 a.m. until 12:00 midnight.

This follows the agency’s expedited repair works on the Marilao Overpass Bridge, which was recently struck by a northbound truck exceeding the height limit for vehicles passing underneath it.

In a statement, NLEX Corporation said appropriate traffic management measures will be in place to minimize motorists’ inconvenience while repair works are undertaken.

It noted that the overpass bridge was constructed prior to the rehabilitation of the NLEX and presently has a vertical clearance of 4.27 meters in both directions.

Although it is not part of the NLEX concession, the agency conducts necessary repairs on the bridge to ensure its structural integrity for the safety of passing NLEX motorists.

In the interest of public safety, NLEX offers to construct a new and upgraded bridge.
