Norzagaray, Bulacan hit by landslide, soil erosion, and bridge washout

CITY OF MALOLOS — Roads in three barangays in Norzagaray were closed to motorists due to landslides, soil erosion, and a bridge washout caused by heavy rains and winds from Typhoon Enteng.
According to a situational report by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Council of Bulacan as of 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (September 3), Barangay San Lorenzo experienced a landslide, Barangay Poblacion, Sitio Bayumbong suffered soil erosion, and a bridge in Barangay Pinagtalunan was washed out. As a result, the roads in these barangays are impassable to motorists.
Meanwhile, as of 11:00 a.m. yesterday, 23 villages in the towns of Balagtas, Bocaue, Bulakan, Paombong, Calumpit, and the City of Baliwag were inundated with floodwaters ranging from half a foot to four feet due to Typhoon Enteng’s rains and the high tide from Manila Bay.
Additionally, as of 11:00 a.m. on September 3, a total of 2,228 families, or 7,714 individuals, remain in 53 evacuation centers across 17 local government units in Bulacan.
