P1.8M worth of marijuana and shabu seized in Bulacan
Mon Lazaro December 9, 2023 at 04:42 AMCAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan– Approximately P1.8 million worth of suspected dried marijuana leaves and P67,078 worth of suspected shabu were seized in Bulacan in the last two days.
Reports reaching Lt. Col. Jacqueline Puapo, officer in charge of the Bulacan Provincial Police Office, said the P1.8 million worth of dried marijuana leaves were confiscated in an anti-illegal drugs operation conducted around 11:20 pm on Thursday in Block 3 Barangay Gumaoc East in the City of San Jose del Monte that led to the arrest of eight drug suspects.
The raiding team was able to seize approximately 15 kilograms of suspected dried marijuana leaves worth P1,800,000, a coin purse and the marked money.
Meanwhile, 16 drug suspects were also arrested by Bulacan police operatives in different operations in the last two days.
The separate buy-bust operation were conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Marilao, Meycauayan, Sta. Maria, Baliwag, and Guiguinto City Police Stations leading to the arrest of 16 drug suspects.
The operations led to the seizures of 19 plastic sachets of suspected shabu worth P67,078, assorted drug paraphernalia, and marked money.
The arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for appropriate examination and the suspects are now facing charges for violations of R.A. 9165.
