PDEA busts Bulacan drug den, seizes P172,500 worth of shabu

CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan– Three drug suspects were arrested and P172,500 worth of suspected shabu seized in this city on October 17.

A report from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Central Luzon Officeidentified the arrested suspects as Jeamwiel Garil, Jewarly Gari and Miguel Rosas who were entrapped in a drug sting 7:20 pm in the makeshift drug den in Recanati Homes Quarry, Barangay Proper in this city.

Joint PDEA and police operatives were able to confiscate six plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 25 grams with a street value of P172,500; assorted drug paraphernalia and the marked money, the report added.

Meanwhile, reports reaching Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., regional police director for Central Luzon, said a drug sting in Iba, Zambales resulted in the arrest of two suspects and seizure of 250 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P1,700,000 while in Angeles City, a high-value target was entrapped and confiscated from the suspects was 55 grams of suspected shabu that has a street value of P374,000.

The suspects are now facing charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
