PDEA dismantles drug den in Zambales; 5 suspects arrested

SAN MARCELINO, Zambales — Five individuals were arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in a suspected drug den located in Barangay Rabanes, San Marcelino, on Friday night, May 16.

The operation led to the confiscation of approximately ₱68,000 worth of suspected shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia.

The PDEA Zambales Provincial Office identified the arrested suspects as alias Makoy, alias Ren-ren, alias Jojo, alias Jer, and alias Juan.

Recovered during the operation were approximately 10 grams of suspected shabu valued at ₱68,000, a mobile phone, various drug paraphernalia, and buy-bust money.

The drug sting was conducted in collaboration with the Zambales Drug Enforcement Unit and the San Marcelino Police Station.

The arrested suspects are temporarily detained at the PDEA jail facility in Pampanga and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
