CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — A notorious drug pusher included in the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Central Luzon target list and three of his cohorts were arrested in a drug sting in Barangay Dau, Mabalacat City on Wednesday (February 28) night.

The PDEA Region 3 office identified the main target of the high impact anti-drugs operation as Edcel Carlos alias Bruce and his three cohorts as Maria Hilda Permits, Nelson del Rosario and Joshua Policarpio. They were apprehended in a drug den and seized from them were approximately 35 grams of suspected shabu with street value of P241,500, assorted drug paraphernalia; and the marked money.

The sting led to the discovery of the drug den after a month-long casing and surveillance, the PDEA reported.

The arrested drug suspects are now facing charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
