PDEA seizes imported marijuana resin from Pampanga consignee

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized imported marijuana resin from a male consignee in Mabalacat City during a controlled delivery operation on Wednesday night.
The PDEA Central Luzon Office identified the arrested consignee as Daryl dela Cruz, a resident of Diamond Street, Poblacion, Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
It was reported that the marijuana resin originated from California, USA, and was initially declared as candles placed inside 12 pieces of plastic canister containers upon arrival at the Port of Clark on Sunday (June 16).
The discovery of the contraband led to a controlled delivery operation at around 3:35 p.m. in Barangay Joaquin in the city on Wednesday, resulting in the seizure of approximately 5,888 grams of imported marijuana resin worth P392,533.33 from the consignee.
The operation was a joint effort involving the PDEA, Bureau of Customs – Port of Clark, PNP AVSEC3, PDEG SOU3, and Mabalacat Police Station.
