PDEA seizes P3.1M worth of imported kush in controlled delivery ops in Antipolo

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — A consignee of an imported kush that arrived at the Port of Clark in Pampanga on May 9 this year was arrested in Antipolo, Rizal during a controlled delivery operation late Monday afternoon (May 13).
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Central Luzon Office reported that the imported kush, a high-grade type of marijuana, was sent from the United States of America. It weighs approximately 1,900 grams, is worth P3,135,000, and was consigned to Zintaro Uy, a resident of Sitio Pantayanin, Dela Paz, Antipolo City.

Upon arrival at the Port of Clark, concerned PDEA units, Bureau of Customs-Port of Clark and the local police of Antipolo conducted a controlled delivery operation in Sitio Pantayanin, Pinagsamahan Street, Barangay Dela Paz, Antipolo, Rizal.
“The illegal drugs were contained in four plastic pouches and were declared as hooded sweat shirts. The suspect was aware about the content of the parcels and did not resist arrest when collared by the operating teams”, a PDEA official noted.
The consignee is now facing a non-bailable offense of Section 4 (importation of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165.
