PDEG seizes P46.5M worth of ‘kush’ in two Bulacan stings
Mon Lazaro October 29, 2024 at 02:01 PMMARILAO, Bulacan – The Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PNP DEG) confiscated a total of P46,500,000 worth of “kush” or high-grade marijuana in separate drug stings conducted in this municipality and in Balagtas on Saturday afternoon, October 26.
The PNP DEG reported that the first operation took place in Barangay Patubig, Marilao, around 1:10 p.m., resulting in the arrest of a 43-year-old suspect and the seizure of 38 plastic bags of kush, weighing approximately 19 kilograms and valued at P28,500,000.
Later, at around 3:15 p.m., the PNP DEG conducted a second operation in Block 2, Lot 10, Northville 6, Balagtas, leading to the arrest of a 40-year-old suspect and the confiscation of 24 plastic bags of suspected kush, weighing approximately 12 kilograms and valued at P18,000,000.
Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta, PNP DEG director, said, “Our team’s successful operation has significantly disrupted drug distribution in the region, resulting in an arrest and substantial drug seizures. This success not only affects the drug trade but also contributes to a safer and healthier community. We will continue to monitor and address this kind of illegal trade.”
