CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — In line with the directive from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Headquarters, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has been placed under Full Alert Status from 12:01 AM of May 3 until 11:59 PM of May 15, 2025. This move is part of intensified preparations to ensure security nine days before the scheduled National and Local Elections on May 12.
According to PRO3 Regional Director PBGen. Jean Fajardo, the police force is in full gear to guarantee a peaceful, orderly, and honest election throughout Central Luzon.
“Kami ay nakikipagtulungan sa COMELEC, AFP, at iba pang ahensya ng gobyerno upang matiyak ang kaligtasan ng ating mga kababayan sa araw ng halalan. Ang kapayapaan ng halalan ay kapayapaan ng sambayanan,” said RD Fajardo.
Under the Full Alert Status, additional police personnel have been deployed to identified election areas of concern and voting centers in the provinces of Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, and Pampanga. Quick Reaction Forces (QRF) and Reactionary Standby Support Forces (RSSF) have also been mobilized to swiftly respond to any incidents of violence or unrest.
PRO3 also assured the public that monitoring operations are ongoing 24/7 in coordination with intelligence units, aiming to detect and prevent any potential security threats.
The regional police also urged the public to cooperate with authorities, avoid spreading misinformation, and immediately report any suspicious activity that could disrupt the elections.
“Ang eleksyon ay hindi lamang responsibilidad ng gobyerno, kundi ng bawat mamamayang Pilipino. Sama-sama nating pangalagaan ang ating demokrasya,” PBGen. Fajardo concluded.
Police stations in barangays have likewise been placed on heightened alert to receive reports from the public and ensure the proper enforcement of laws during the election period.
