Police nab 2 goat thieves in Nueva Ecija

CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija—Two goat thieves were arrested in Cuyapo town yesterday morning (November 15), and the stolen livestock were recovered.

Reports reaching Col. Ferdinand Germino, police director of Nueva Ecija, stated that operatives from the Cuyapo Municipal Police Station were dispatched after receiving a report that three goats had been stolen and taken away on a tricycle.

The tricycle used in the getaway was spotted and flagged down along the road in Barangay Simimbaan, Cuyapo town.

Upon inspection, authorities found three live goats hidden under rice sacks inside the tricycle. The animals were positively identified by their owner.

The suspects are now under police custody and are facing appropriate charges.
