CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan – Four thieves involved in robbing a convenience store on Tuesday (January 21) in Hagonoy town were apprehended just 13 hours after the heist.

Col. Satur Ediong, Bulacan police director, said the convenience store, located in Barangay San Agustin, was robbed of its cash around 5:05 a.m.

Investigators became suspicious of one of the store’s employees and questioned him about the incident.

The employee eventually admitted to his involvement in the robbery and identified his three accomplices.

A police follow-up operation led to the arrest of the three robbers around 6:00 p.m. in Barangay Longos, Calumpit town, and the recovery of ₱59,000 of the stolen money.

The four suspects are now in the custody of the Hagonoy Police Station.
