Political party leader shot dead in Pandi, Bulacan

BULACAN – A local political leader was fatally shot in the face by an unidentified motorcycle-riding assailant in Pandi, Bulacan, on the evening of April 21.
The victim, identified as 40-year-old Lorenzo Ofalsa, was reportedly a leader of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas in Bulacan. He was attacked at around 8:30 p.m. in Phase 4 of Pandi Residence 3, Barangay Mapulang Lupa.
According to police reports, the suspect—described as wearing a blue helmet, face covering, blue hoodie, denim shorts, slippers, and carrying a sling bag—approached Ofalsa and shot him at close range in the face before fleeing the scene on a motorcycle, heading toward Phase 1 of the same subdivision.
Ofalsa was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead at approximately 10:50 p.m., his wife told investigators.
Authorities have launched a hot pursuit operation and are continuing their investigation to identify the gunman and determine the motive behind the killing.
