Pulilan police nab HVI, seize illegal drugs in buy-bust operation

PULILAN, Bulacan — A high-value individual (HVI) and a Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) target-listed drug suspect was arrested in a buy-bust operation in this town on Thursday night.

A report reaching Col. Franklin Estoro, acting Bulacan police director, identified the suspect as alias “Kamote,” a resident of Barangay Inaon, Pulilan.

Initial investigation showed that the HVI was entrapped around 7:10 p.m. in his barangay by operatives of the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Pulilan Municipal Police Station.

Lt. Col. Jerome Jay Ragonton, police chief of this town, said alias Kamote was arrested after completing an illegal drug deal with a poseur buyer. Seized from him were 18 plastic sachets of suspected shabu, weighing approximately 11.1 grams and valued at ₱75,480, along with a black coin purse.

The suspect is now facing illegal drug charges, while the recovered evidence was forwarded to the Bulacan Forensic Unit for laboratory and drug te PDEst examination, Ragonton added.
