Relief aid sent to three flood-affected towns in Pampanga and Bulacan
Mon Lazaro August 4, 2024 at 01:57 PMCALUMPIT, Bulacan — On Saturday, flood-affected residents in Calumpit, as well as in Masantol and Macabebe in Pampanga, received more than a thousand boxes of relief goods containing essential items from Senate Majority Leader Francis ‘Tol’ Tolentino.
The relief convoy made its first stop in Calumpit, where it was accompanied by local government officials led by Mayor Glorime Faustino. The convoy navigated through the rising high tide of Manila Bay in the streets of Northville 9.
Patrick Tolentino, son of Senator Tolentino, represented his father and, together with Mayor Faustino, led the distribution of the relief packages containing essential goods at the Northville 9 Multipurpose Building.
After completing the distribution in Calumpit, the relief convoy proceeded to Pampanga to distribute essential supplies to identified beneficiaries in Masantol at the Barangay Puti Covered Court.
After unloading the aid packages in Masantol, the relief team moved on to Macabebe, where they were met by Rep. Anna York Bondoc of the 4th District of Pampanga.
Senator Tolentino stated that he will ensure the Senate’s support for flood mitigation program budgets for Pampanga and Bulacan.
