Libreng sakay para kay nanay

Espesyal na araw ang nakaraang linggo para sa mga ilaw ng ating tahanan. Kaya naman naisipan ni Hermie Almazan na magbigay ng libreng sakay para sa mga dakilang ina ng Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City.

Sa panayam ng Arkipelago News kay Tatay Hermie, sinabi niya na nais niya lang daw magpasaya at makatulong sa mga tao kahit sa simpleng paraan lamang.

“Dahil mother’s day kinabukasan nun kahit papano gusto ko makatulong sa pamamagitan ng paghahatid ko sa kanila ng safe,” sabi ni Tatay Hermie.

Si Tatay Hermie ay apatnapu’t anim na taong gulang, hindi raw talaga siya namamasada ng tricycle dahil ang trabaho niya ay tagaluto sa isang kainan sa Antipolo. Pinili niya raw na huwag munang pumasok sa araw na iyon dahil gusto niyang gawin ang Community Pantry Free Rides.

Isa si Jhonna Ribot sa natulungan at napasaya ni Tatay Hermie. May isang anak na lalaki si Jhoanna at nagtatrabaho siya bilang bantay sa isang gasolinahan. Bukod sa kanyang buwanang sahod, umaasa lang daw si Jhonna sa tip ng mga customer sa kanyang trabaho. Ito raw ang ginagamit niyang pamasahe sa araw-araw.Kaya laking tuwa raw niya sa libreng sakay ni Tatay Hermie dahil nakatipid daw siya kahit papaano.

“Nakaka-overwhelmed nakaramdam ng tuwa kasi kung iisipin mo sa panahon ngayon mahirap kumita ng pera pero ito si kuya kakaiba kase kahit na dumadanas ng paghihirap ngayong may pandemya ay nakuha nya pa ring magserbisyo sa tao ng libre kahit sino ay matutuwa sa mga gantong pamamaraan na ginawa ni kuya,” kuwento ni Jhonna.

Dagdag pa niya na napakagiliw raw ni Tatay Hermie. Hindi lang daw kasi libreng sakay ang naibigay ni Tatay dahil hinaluan din daw ito ng mga libreng kwento na siguradong babaunin niya sa kanyang buhay. Kaya para kay Jhonna inspirasyon si Tatay Hermie na dapat tularan ng karamihan.

Ayon naman kay Tatay Hermie nakakagaan daw ng pakiramdam ang pagtulong sa kapwa.

“Masaya ako syempre natutuwa sila at nagugulat sila kapag sinabi kong dahil sa akin kayo sumakay libre na kayo. Nagugulat na lang sila at masaya syempre nagiging masaya din ako kasi napasaya ko sila sa simpleng paraan.”

Hindi raw matutumbasan ng kahit anumang bagay ang mga ngiti at pasasalamat na natanggap niya lalo na kung mula ito sa mga nanay na naghahanap-buhay at nagsasakripisyo para sa kanilang pamilya. Buong buhay niya raw itong babalik-balikan.

Para kay Tatay Hermie, mas mabuting tumulong sa iba. Hindi raw importante ang sukat o halaga, ang mas dapat tingnan ay ang ligayang naibibigay mo sa kanila.

“Maliit man o malaking pagtulong basta nakakabuti sa kapwa wag magdadalawang- isip tumulong para kahit papano napapasaya natin sila sa simpleng tulong na ginawa natin sa kanila,” paliwanag ni Tatay Hermie.
