CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – A 43-year-old government employee drowned while swimming at a beach resort in Morong, Bataan, on Sunday evening.

Col. Palmer Tria, Bataan police director, identified the victim as Arman Ballesteros, an employee of the Department of Public Works and Highways and a resident of Barangay Burgos, Hermosa, Bataan.

In his report to Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, Central Luzon police director, Tria stated that based on the initial investigation, the victim dived into the shoreline of Triple J Beach Resort in Morong around 7:20 p.m. but failed to resurface.

The incident was reported to the local police, who immediately responded. Ballesteros’ body was later found floating near the shoreline and was rushed to the Morong Rural Health Unit, where he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
