Mayor Leni Robredo remains no plans on a possible return to national politics, saying her priority is to fulfill her mandate as mayor of Naga City.
In an interview with Bernadette Sembrano, Robredo said she is not entertaining discussions about the 2028 Philippine National Elections for now, despite calls from supporters urging her to run for a higher position.
“Hindi ko muna pinapansin kasi ayaw ko ma-distract kasi, obligasyon ko, first and foremost, Naga,” she said, emphasizing her commitment to local governance.
When asked directly about a potential national bid, Robredo admitted she has yet to make any concrete plans. “Hindi ko pa rin sigurado. Hindi ako politikong pinagplanuhan kung ano ’yong susunod eh. Wherever the road takes me,” she added.
For now, the former vice president is focused on implementing a slate of upcoming projects in Naga, reinforcing her stance that her attention remains on delivering services and development initiatives for the city.
