Travel across key areas in Central Luzon is expected to become significantly faster and more cost-efficient following the opening of a new 4-kilometer segment of the Central Luzon Link Expressway under Contract Package 4.
The newly opened stretch completes a vital east-west corridor in the region, reducing travel time from over an hour to approximately 20 minutes, according to government officials.
The improved route is seen to ease congestion and enhance mobility for both motorists and transport operators.
Motorists can also benefit from toll-free access along this segment until December 2026, further lowering transportation costs.
In a statement, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. emphasized the broader economic impact of the project, noting that smoother traffic flow leads to reduced fuel consumption and operational expenses.
He added that the expressway will help streamline the delivery of essential goods, particularly rice from Nueva Ecija, widely regarded as the country’s rice granary.
