Ricardo Cepeda arestado

Inaresto si Ricardo Cepeda ng mga tauhan ng Quezon City Police District (QCPD) habang siya ay nasa isang establisimyento sa Caloocan City ayon sa pulisya nitong araw ng Linggo.

Ang naturang warrant of arrest para sa kasong syndicated estafa ay inilabas ng Cagayan Regional Trial Court Executive Judge. Walang piyansa ang syndicated estafa ayon sa Art. 315 ng Revised Penal Code. May maximum penalty itong life imprisonment.

Ayon sa QCPD inaresto si Cepeda, 58 taong gulang, ng mga operatiba ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit nitong Sabado, October 7, dakong 11:00 am habang siya ay nasa isang resto-bar sa Mabini Street sa Maypajo, Caloocan. Pinaghahanap na rin ng pulisya ang iba pang sangkot sa naturang kaso.


Caloocan Peace and Order Council

Tumanggap ang Caloocan Peace and Order Council (POC) ng 100 percent audit rating sa katatapos na 2022 Peace and Order Council Performance Audit na isinagawa ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Kinilala rin ng DILG ang POC bilang “highly functional” dahil sa pagsasagawa nito ng mga hakbangin upang maisulong ang payapa at ligtas na mga komunidad sa lungsod.

Ayon sa DILG, layunin ng naturang audit na tiyaking ang lahat ng LGUs sa bansa ay aktibong nagpapatupad ng mga peace and order programs and projects sa kanilang lugar na nakabatay sa mga pillars na Organization; Meetings; Policies, Plan and Budget; Reports; at General Supervision.

Ayon kay DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos, Jr., “Ang mas mataas na functionality rate ng POCs ay repleksyon ng mas kaaya-ayang mga LGUs.”


Mega Job Fair

Umabot sa 342 ang bilang ng naghahanap ng trabaho ang natanggap agad o hired on the spot sa Mega Job Fair na isinagawa ng Public Employment Service Office (PESO – Caloocan). Lumalabas na nasa 40.14% ang success rate ng naturang aktibidad.

Hinimok ng lokal na pamahalaan ang iba pang naghahanap ng trabaho na ugaliing i-check ang Facebook page ng PESO – Caloocan para sa mga job openings at job fairs.

Ilog at estero nilinis

Naglinis ng mga ilog at estero sa Caloocan ang mga kawani ng City Environmental Management Department (CEMD) ng lungsod. Kabilang sa kanilang nilinis ay ang Lapu-lapu Creek sa Barangay 12.

Nanawagan naman si Caloocan City Mayor Dale “Along” Malapitan sa publiko na makiisa sa pangangalaga sa kalikasan at huwag magtapon ng basura sa mga hindi itinalagang basurahan lalo na sa mga daluyan ng tubig.
