Sa panahon na marami ang nahihirapan dulot ng pandemya, halos lahat daw ng tao ay dumaraan sa matinding stress. Marami kasi ang nawalan ng trabaho at nagsarang negosyo. Mahirap din na limitado o hindi tayo makalabas ng ating bahay dahil sa banta ng COVID-19.

Sa pinagdadaanan natin ngayon, kanino pa nga ba tayo kakapit kundi sa ating Panginoon?

Dito nakasentro ang pagdiriwang ng fiesta sa isang parokya sa Bulacan. Nais nilang makapagbigay ng tulong pang-ispiritwal at patuloy na bigyan ng pag-asa ang kanilang mga kabarangay.

Isa sa inihanda ng Parokya ni San Jose Manggagawa sa Panginay, Balagtas, Bulacan ang isang online fiesta.

Nakapanayam ng Arkipelago News si Reiven Santiago, sakristan sa nasabing simbahan. Ikinuwento niya na taun-taon nilang ipinagdiriwang ang pista sa kanilang lugar.

“Ito ang aming paraan para ipakita ang aming pasasalamat, lalo na sa masaganang ani ng mga tao sa aming lugar. At kahit na tayo ay humaharap sa matinding pagsubok gaya ng pandemya, sinusubukan pa rin ng simbahan na makapaghatid ng tulong at ligaya sa mga tao,” paliwanag niya.

Pero naiiba ang kanilang selebrasyon ngayong taon dahil online ito ginawa. Nagtulong ang Sangguniang Pastoral ng Parokya at ang mga kabataan na miyembro nito para mabuo ang programa.

Isa sa main segment ng kanilang online fiesta ay ang “Talakayan: Talakan na may kasamang Akayan.” Para itong talk show na may mga imbitadong inspirational speaker. Ibinahagi ng mga bisita ang kanilang mga karanasan sa buhay pati na kung paano sila tinawag sa paglilingkod.

Ayon kay Reiven, ang talakayan ang nagsilbing paraan nila para magbigay ng espiritwal na patnubay.

“Nais naming makatulong upang mas mapalalim pa ang kanilang pananampalataya sa Diyos,” paliwanag niya.

Ang Online Fiesta ni San Jose Manggagawa ay tumagal ng sampung araw. Nagsimula ito noong April 22 at natapos nito lamang May 1.

Bukod sa inspirational talks, nagkaroon din ng iba pang paraan ng selebrasyon. Kabilang dito ang online mass tuwing alas- siyete ng umaga at raffle para sa mga nanood ng kanilang online talakayan. Kasama sa kanilang papremyo ang rice cooker, bigas, delata at iba pang pagkain.

Nagbukas rin ang parokya ng isang community pantry na tinawag nilang “Hapag ng Kawanggawa Community Pantry”. Tumagal din ito ng sampung araw at umikot sa anim na purok ng Panginay. Bigas, gulay, noodles, at mga pantimpla tulad ng toyo, patis at suka ang ilan sa mga ipinamigay sa pantry. Donasyon ito mula sa mga residente ng parokya.

Ayon kay Reiven, na 13 years ng sakristan sa parokya, hindi naging madali ang kanilang pagpaplano.

“Isa sa challenges ay ang paghahanap ng sponsors. Pero naging mahirap man ang pinagdaanan ng ilan naming kasapi upang mabuo ang lahat ng ito, naiayos naman ang programa. Naging maayos din ang daloy at pagsasagawa nito. Salamat sa awa at biyaya ng Diyos maging ni San Jose,” paliwanag ni Reiven.
