Two suspects nabbed by Caloocan Police for marijuana possession

CALOOCAN CITY — Two suspects were arrested on Thursday, August 22, in Caloocan City, resulting in the seizure of 10.4 grams of marijuana.
Officers from the West Grace Park Police Sub-station and Caloocan City Police Station reportedly conducted a foot patrol in Barangay 63, Caloocan City, and encountered two individuals who were in public without upper garments, in violation of a local ordinance.

When asked to present their IDs, the suspects ignored the lawful order and attempted to flee. After a brief chase, they were apprehended, and a search yielded 10.4 grams of marijuana valued at ā±1,248, contained in two medium-sized heat-sealed plastic sachets.
The arrested individuals are charged with violations of a Caloocan City ordinance, Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code (RPC), and Section 11, Article II of R.A. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
