Motorcycle rider dies in collision with dump truck in Bulacan

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — A motorcycle rider died in a vehicular accident involving a dump truck in Bocaue town early yesterday morning (January 17).

Col. Satur Ediong, Bulacan police director, identified the victim as Narciso Sumile, 26, a resident of Barangay Mojon in the City of Malolos.

Initial investigation revealed that Sumile was riding a Yamaha Mio Sporty motorcycle with license plate CD-60898 and was traveling southbound along MacArthur Highway in Barangay Wakas at around 4:30 a.m. when it collided with a dump truck bearing license plate CCE-1001. The truck was driven by Rico Vertucio, a resident of Barangay Siling Matanda, Pandi town.

The motorcycle rider succumbed to head and body injuries and was brought to a funeral home in Guiguinto town for autopsy. Meanwhile, the dump truck driver and the vehicle were placed under the custody of the Bocaue Police Station for proper disposition.
