Two suspects arrested in killing of Bulacan policeman

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — Police operatives arrested two suspects on Tuesday night in connection with the killing of a policeman and the wounding of a woman on Sunday night.
Lt. Col. Librado Manarang Jr., police chief of Guiguinto, identified the victims as PMSgt. Jose Uring of the Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Bulacan Provincial Police Office, and Jorilyn Acedera, a resident of Brooklyn Subdivision.
Col. Angel Garcillano, Bulacan police director, said the gunman, alias Marvin, a dismissed police personnel, was arrested around 7:00 p.m. in Barangay Panghulo, Obando. His cohort, alias Adonis, who served as the getaway motorcycle driver, was arrested earlier at 6:00 p.m. in Barangay Maysantol, Bulakan.
Recovered from alias Marvin were a Bajaj motorcycle, three firearms (Remington 1911 caliber .45 pistol, Caspian caliber .45 pistol, and Smith & Wesson caliber 9mm pistol), 93 rounds of caliber .45 ammunition, 57 rounds of caliber 9mm ammunition, magazines, clothes believed used in the crime, IDs, and a Samsung Galaxy A12 phone.
From alias Adonis, police seized a grenade, a Yamaha NMAX motorcycle, a helmet, clothing, an Oppo Android phone, and two iPhone 6S units.
The suspects are now under the custody of the Guiguinto Municipal Police Station and are facing charges of murder and frustrated homicide.
