14 babae nasagip sa anti-human trafficking operation sa Caloocan at Malabon

Aabot sa 14 kababaihan kabilang na ang dalawang Children in Conflict with the law (CICL), 11 menor de edad at isang nasa hustong edad, ang nasagip ng mga otoridad sa isinagawang magkakahiwalay na entrapment operation sa lunsod ng Caloocan at Malabon noong May 24.

Batay sa inisyal na ulat ng pulisya, nakatanggap ng impormasyon ang mga otoridad mula sa isang Non-Government Organization (NGO) na Destiny Rescue Philippines na magkakaroon ng transaksyon ng umano’y prostitusyon ng mga menor de edad sa mga nasabing lugar.

Ikinasa ng Malabon City Police Station ang operasyon katuwang ang mga tauhan ng Women’s and Children Protection Desk at City Social Welfare Division Malabon na nagresulta sa pagkakasagip sa 14 kababaihan at pagkakarekober ng sampung libong piso.

Pinapurihan naman ni National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief PMGen. Vicente Danao ang mabilis na pag- aksyon ng Malabon City Police Station sa impormasyon na ibinigay ng isang confidential informant.

“I am grateful for the vigilance and involvement of our concerned citizens in reporting suspicious activities or individuals. The success of the entrapment operations saved the lives of the rescued females,” pahayag ni Danao.

Hinikayat din ni Danao ang publiko na patuloy na suportahan ang kanilang anti-criminality program at isumbong ang mga kahina-hinalang indibidwal, grupo o mga otoridad sa “Isumbong mo kay RD Danao” hotline numbers na 0915-888-8181 at 0999-901-8181.
