Alalay sa Mananakay ipinangsagot ng Caloocan sa tigil pasada

Nagpatupad ang lokal na pamahalaan ng Caloocan ng operasyong tinawag na Alalay sa Mananakay na ipinangsagot sa tigil-pasada na isinagawa ng grupong Malayang Alyansa ng Bus Employees at Laborers o MANIBELA sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa ngayong Oktubre 16 at tatagal hanggang Oktubre 17.

Layon umano ng tigil-pasada ng grupong MANIBELA na tutulan ang modernisasyon ng pampublikong transportasyon na magreresulta sa pag-phase out ng traditional jeepneys. Pinagbibitiw rin ng grupo ang mga opisyal ng mga ahensya ng gobyerno na anila’y corrupt at nanggigipit sa hanay ng public transport groups.

Una rito ay inihayag ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Caloocan na naghanda sila ng 32 sasakyan na kinabibilangan ng dalawang bus upang magbigay ng libreng sakay sa mga posibleng ma-stranded o maapektuhan ng transport strike.

Tinukoy din ng LGU ang mga magiging ruta at himpilan o station ng naturang mga sasakyan, gayundin ang mga pangalan at cellphone numbers ng mga kawani ng city hall na itinoka bilang team leaders na aasiste sa publiko sa panahon ng strike.

Pinakilos ng LGU ang Public Safety and Traffic Management Department (PSTMD), Caloocan City Police Station at iba pang mga tanggapan.

Naglaan din ng pangkabuuang emergency hotlines na puwede umanong tawagan ng publiko para sa agarang tulong na posibleng kailanganin nila.

Sinuspinde rin muna ang in-person classes sa mga paaralan at sa halip ay ginawa muna itong online.

Dakong gabi ngayong Oktubre 16 ay naglabas ng pahayag si Mayor Along Malapitan sa kaniyang Facebook page.

Ayon sa Public Safety and Traffic Management Department (PSTMD), normal pa rin po ang biyahe ng mga pampasaherong jeep sa North at South Caloocan.

Samantala, patuloy na nakaantabay ang ating mga rescue vehicles sakaling kailanganin ito ng ating mga kababayan.

Muli po nating pinapaalalahan ang lahat na sa oras ng pangangailangan ng agarang tulong o responde, tumawag lamang po sa 888-ALONG (25664) o 09477964372,” ayon sa alkalde.
