Gawad Kalasag para sa Caloocan DRRMO; Dayalogo ng vendors at pulisya; Oplan Bulabog isinagawa

Binigyan ng National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) ng Gawad Kalasag Award ang Caloocan City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) dahil sa mahusay na mga programa nito sa pagtugon sa kalamidad, sakuna at emergency.

Kinilala at pinarangalan ng NDRRMC sa pamamagitan ng Office of Civil Defense (OCD) ang CDRRMO bilang “beyond compliant” o mahusay na pagtupad sa mga alituntunin at pamantayan ng mga ginagawang aksyon ng tanggapan.

Ang naturang “rating” o grado ay mas mataas din kumpara sa nakuhang pagkilala ng CDRRMO noong isang taon na “fully compliant”.

Ayon sa lokal na pamahalaan, ang parangal ay pagkilala sa mahuhusay na programa para sa disaster response at preparedness ng CDRRMO sa pamumuno ni Dr. James Lao.

Samantala, naglunsad ang Northern Police District (NPD) at Caloocan City Police Station (CCPC) ng dayalogo sa mga presidente at lider ng mga vendors associations o manininda sa lungsod na ginanap sa CCPS Multi-Purpose Hall.

Ayon kay CCPS Chief PCol. Ruben Lacuesta, ang hakbangin ay inisyatiba ni NPD District Director PBGen. Rizalito Gapas.

Nais aniya ni General Gapas na isagawa nang regular ang ganitong hakbangin sa Caloocan at sa iba pang lungsod sa NPD area o CAMANAVA (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, at Valenzuela).

Ito umano ay bahagi ng “5 Focus Agenda” ng Office of the PNP Chief sa ilalim ng istratehiyang “Community Engagement” na naglalayong bigyan ng boses at pagkakataon ang mga vendors na maghayag ng kanilang mga hinaing at problema, at hingin ang aksyon ng pulisya para rito.

Katuwang din sa aktibidad sina PCol. Benliner Capili, Deputy District Director for Operation at PCol. Florian Reynaldo, DCADD OIC.

Sa iba pang balita, muling nagsagawa ng Oplan Bulabog ang lokal na pamahalaan sa pangunguna ng Office of the Mayor, Public Safety and Traffic Mangement Department (PSTMD), City Social Welfare Development CSWD), mga tauhan ng barangay, at ang Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS).

Ayon sa PSTMD, pangunahing layunin ng Oplan Bulabog na tiyakin ang pagsunod ng mga residente sa mga ordinansa ng lungsod tulad ng curfew sa mga kabataan, pagbabawal sa pag-inom ng alak sa labas ng bahay, pagkakalat, paglabas ng bahay nang nakahubad, paninigarilyo sa pampublikong lugar at iba pa.

Nirescue din ang mga batang pagala-gala upang mailayo sila sa paggawa ng masama o krimen tulad ng pagnanakaw at paggamit ng iligal na droga.

Sinabi pa ng PSTMD na layunin ng naturang proyekto na panatilihin ang disiplina, kaligtasan at katahimikan sa mga komunidad sa lungsod lalo na sa gabi.
