Pagtatayo ng bagong health center; Opan Iwas Paputok at panawagang firecrackers ban

Nagtulungan ang SM Foundation, Rotary Club of Caloocan Monumento at ang lokal na pamahalaan ng Caloocan sa pagtatayo ng karagdagang health center sa lungsod.

Ang bagong health center ay nagsimula nang magbigay ng serbisyong pangkalusugan at medikal sa mga residente ng Barangays 118-120, sa pangangasiwa ng City Health Department.

Pinasalamatan ni Mayor Along Malapitan ang dalawang grupo na nagtaguyod ng proyekto.

Noon namang 2016 ay isa ring health center sa Barangay 50 ang pina-renovate, kinumpleto ang kagamitan at ginawang makabago ng SM Foundation na pinangunahan din ni Ms. Connie Angeles, SM Foundation Executive Director for Health and Medical Programs.

Samantala, araw-araw na lumilibot sa mga komunidad sa lungsod ang mga tauhan ng Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP-NCR Caloocan) at namimigay ng mga babasahin kaugnay ng kanilang Oplan Iwas Paputok para paalalahanan ang publiko na umiwas sa paggamit ng firecrackers ngayong panahon ng Kapaskuhan partikular sa pagsalubong sa Bagong Taon.

Layon ng kampanya na mailayo ang mga mamamayan sa sakuna na dulot ng pagpapaputok at maiwasan din ang sunog na karaniwan ding nagmumula sa paputok.

Ang kampanya ay alinsunod sa direktiba ni City Fire Marshal, Fire Supt. Eugene Briones.

Matatandaang kamakailan ay tinipon ng City Health Department ang mga kapitan at iba pang opisyal ng lahat ng 188 na barangay sa lungsod upang ipaalala sa kanila ang pangangailangang hikayatin ang mga residente na huwag magpaputok at sa halip ay magpatugtog na lang ng malakas na musika.

Sa kaugnay na balita, nanawagan ang grupong Ban Toxics sa mga lokal na pamahalaan na tuluyan nang ipagbawal ang pagbebenta, pagbili at paggamit ng paputok.

Sinabi ng grupo na dapat suportahan ng lahat ng local officials ang panawagan ni Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benhur Abalos sa mga LGU na magpatibay ng mga ordinansa para sa firecrackers ban.

Pinansin nila na patuloy namang dumarami ang mga LGU na nagbabawal na sa paputok, at isa rito anila ay ang Caloocan na may Executive Order No. 032-22 at City Ordinance No. 0648 s. 2016 na pawang nagbabawal sa paputok sa buong lungsod.

Isa namang barangay ang nanguna na sa pagpapaalala ng firecrackers ban sa lungsod.

Sa isang Facebook post, sinabi ng Barangay 163 Sta.Quiteria na: “FIRECRACKERS ARE NOT ALLOWED. Ang Pamunuan ng Barangay 163 sa pangunguna ng ating mahal na Kapitan Yong Barnachea ay nakikiisa sa kautusan ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Caloocan sa pagbabawal ng anumang klase ng paputok sa anumang okasyon at panahon lalo ngayong darating na kapaskuhan at bagong taon. MAHIGPIT PONG IPINAGBABAWAL ANG PAGGAMIT AT PAGBEBENTA NG MGA MALALAKAS AT DELIKADONG PAPUTOK O ANUMANG PYROTECHNIC DEVICES DITO SA BUONG BARANGAY 163…”

Dagdag ng Brgy. 163, “Ang sinumang mamataang lalabag ay agad pong ipagbigay alam sa ating Tanggapan upang mapatawan ng karampatang parusa. Kaya naman ang lahat ay ipinapaalalahanan at hinihikayat na gumamit na lamang ng anumang bagay sa bahay na maaaring makapagpaingay habang sinasalubong ang panibagong taon katulad na lamang ng torotot, kaldero, mga plastic bote na may pampaingay sa loob, speaker o anumang hindi nakakadisgrasyang bagay. Hinihiling namin ang kooperasyon ng bawat isa sa atin upang salubungin ang Bagong Taon na ligtas at kumpleto ang pamilya.”
