Timba Timbang Biyaya sa Bocaue

BOCAUE, Bulacan — Sinimulan na ng Pamahalaang Bayan ng Bocaue, sa pamumuno ni Mayor Eduardo “Jonjon” Villanueva Jr., ang pamimigay ng “Timba Timbang Biyaya: Pamaskong Handog” sa mga Bocaueño ngayong araw, Disyembre 21.

Kakaiba sa bayan na ito dahil ang ayudang pagkain tulad ng delata, inilalagay sa timba imbis na sa ordinaryong plastic bag. Timba timbang biyaya ang tawag nila rito. Tatalakayin din natin kung paano ito nagsimula.

Ipinamahagi sa mga residente ng Barangay Igulot, Bolacan, Sulucan, at Taal ang mga panghanda sa noche buena tulad ng ham, luncheon meat, corned beef, fruit cocktail, condensed milk, sausage, at spaghetti. Magpapamahagi rin sa iba pang barangay sa mga susunod na araw.

Ayon kay Mayor Jonjon Villanueva, pinaglalaanan nila ng pondo at taon taon nilang ginagawa ang proyektong ito.

“Gusto kasi naming masiguro na lahat ng pamilyang Bocaueño ay may mapagsasaluhang pagkain sa araw ng Pasko,” paliwanag niya.

Personal din aniyang dinadala ang mga timbang puno ng pagkain sa bahay o sa barangay ng mga Bocaueño.

“Palagi naming inilalapit ang serbisyo sa mga tao. Kaya marami kaming proyekto, tulad nitong Timba Timbang Biyaya, na dinadala namin ang tulong at biyaya sa kanilang mga bahay. Gusto kong iparamdam sa mga Bocaueño na kasama nila ako at hindi ko sila pababayaan.”

Paano nga ba nagsimula ang Timba Timbang Biyaya sa Bocaue?

Sa panahon ng panunungkulan ng namayapang si Mayor Joni Villanueva-Tugna, nakababatang kapatid ni Mayor Jonjon, nagsimulang ilagay sa timba ang mga ayudang pagkain. Paliwanag ni Mayor Joni noon, kapaki-pakinabang at magagamit pa sa ibang bagay ang mga timba. Tinawag niya ang proyekto na Timba Timbang Biyaya. Marami ang natulungan nito lalo na noong panahon ng pandemya. Mula noon ay naging simbolo ang timba ng pagmamahal at pagmamalasakit sa kapwa.

Sa paghahanda ng Pamaskong Handog ngayong taon, nagkakaisa sa pagkilos ang mga namumuno at mga kawani ng Pamahalaang Bayan. Nagtutulong-tulong ang bawat isa sa paglalagay ng pagkain sa mga timba, pagbubuhat ng mga kahon, at distribusyon sa mga barangay.

Masayang masaya naman ang mga residenteng nakatanggap ng maagang pamasko. Malaking tulong at katipiran ito sa paghahanda ng mapagsasaluhang pagkain pagsapit ng gabi sa Disyembre 24.
