2 drug pushers caught in Caloocan buy-bust op

CALOOCAN CITY — Two drug pushers were arrested in a buy-bust operation early Sunday morning in Caloocan City.
According to P/Col. Josefino Ligan, acting Director of the Northern Police District (NPD), the suspects—identified as “JR,” 61, and “Nelson,” 28—were apprehended by the NPD’s District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) at Sampaguita St., Brgy. 188, Caloocan City, at approximately 4:37 AM on January 5.
The two suspects are known to be involved in drug trafficking in Barangay 188 and nearby areas.
During the operation, authorities seized around 20 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu), valued at P136,000, along with the buy-bust money.
The suspects are currently detained at the DDEU custodial facility and are facing charges for violations under Sections 5, 26, and 11 of Article II of R.A. 9165 before the Caloocan City Prosecutor’s Office.
