The operation took place at King Faisal, Phase 12, Caloocan City.
According to a report from Col. Paul Jady Doles, Caloocan City Chief of Police, Alias Abdul, a 41-year-old native of Marawi City and a resident of Sapang Palay, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, was identified as a major supplier of illegal drugs in CAMANAVA and parts of Bulacan.
During the operation, Alias Abdul was apprehended alongside three accomplices: Alias Oding, 40; Alias Vics, 33; and Alias Tata, 39. All three accomplices are residents of Phase 12, Caloocan City, where the transaction occurred.
Authorities revealed that Alias Abdul and his accomplices, also natives of Marawi City, coordinated to distribute narcotics, with the accomplices acting as couriers.
Over three kilograms of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu,” valued at approximately PHP 23,256,000, were seized during the operation. The suspects were also found in possession of marked buy-bust money used in the transaction.
NPD Director Col. Josefino Ligan confirmed that the accomplices acted as couriers for Alias Abdul, earning commissions for their role in the transactions. The operation is part of an ongoing investigation to identify other possible associates and higher-level operatives linked to Alias Abdul’s network.
The four suspects are currently detained at the Caloocan City Police Station. The couriers face charges for violating Section 11 of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), while Alias Abdul faces charges under Sections 5 and 11 of the same law.
“This is only the first of many more high-profile anti-drug operations [that] we will consistently launch in Metro Manila in adherence to our uncompromising stance against the evils of the illegal drug menace,” NCRPO Chief Brigadier General Anthony Aberin said in a statement.
