Christmas ID inilunsad; Paggunita sa World AIDS Day; CCMC nakatanggap ng hospital equipment mula sa DOH

Inilunsad ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Caloocan nitong Biyernes ang opisyal na Christmas ID ng lungsod.

Pag-ibig ang tema at mensahe ng nasabing Christmas ID na bukod sa pagtatampok ng pangunahing awitin ay mayroon ding mga bahagi ng iba-ibang popular na pamaskong tugtog at kanta.

Sinimulan ito ng mga pagbating “I love you” ng mga tao at ng bata.

May kani-kaniya ring parte ang mga tanggapan ng lokal na pamahalaan mula sa Office of the Mayor, at kasama ang DILG Caloocan field office, mga pulis, bumbero, mga opisyal ng paaralan, ospital, barangay, Sangguniang Kabataan, mga pari sa mga simbahan, at iba pa.

Samantala, inobserba sa Caloocan ang World AIDS Day na ang pangunahing mensahe ay ang pagpapalaganap ng impormasyon tungkol sa AIDS at pagpapaigting ng mga hakbangin sa pag-iwas sa sakit na ito.

Ayon kay Vice Mayor Karina Teh sa kaniyang Facebook post: “Ang taunang kaganapang ito ay nagsisilbing paalala upang itaas ang kamalayan tungkol sa HIV at AIDS. Ang inyo pong lingkod… ang principal author ng Ordinance No. 0965 S. 2022 na naglalayong isulong ang pagpapatupad ng mga programa ukol sa pagkontrol at pag-iwas sa paglaganap ng Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI), Human Immunodeficiency Syndrome (HIV), at Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) sa ating lungsod. Ating kilalanin ang kahalagahan ng kalusugan ng bawat isa bilang isang pangunahing karapatang pantao…”

Tinipon at pinulong din ng LGU ang mahigit 600 na Barangay Health Workers (BHW) sa lungsod at tinalakay ang isyu ng AIDS, mga sanhi at sintomas nito, pati na ang mga pamamaraan kung paano ito magagamot at maiiwasan.

Sa iba pang balita, muling nakatanggap ng mga bagong kagamitang pang-ospital mula sa Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP) ng Department of Health (DOH) ang Caloocan City Medical Center (CCMC).

Ang bagong donasyon ng DOH HFEP ay kinabibilangan ng tatlong fetal monitor na ginagamit sa pangangalaga ng mga sanggol sa sinapupunan, dalawang mechanical ventilator para sa mga nangangailangan ng tulong sa paghinga, at dalawang heavy-duty autoclave sterilizer upang matiyak na ganap na malinis ang mga hospital instruments.

Ang mga bagong kagamitan na ito ay inaasahang makatutulong nang malaki sa pagbibigay ng CCMC ng serbisyong medikal at pangkalusugan sa publiko.

Noong Nobyembre 16 ay nagbigay rin ang DOH sa CCMC ng 50 hospital beds, tatlong portable operating room lights, tatlong vein scanners, at isang cautery machine na personal na tinanggap ni CCMC Administrator Dr. Fernando Santos para sa ospital.
