Congressman Egay Erice at Mayor Isko Moreno, nagsanib pwersa

Pormal nang nakiisa si Caloocan City Second District Representative Egay Erice sa partido ni Manila Mayor Isko Moreno na Aksyon Demokratiko.

Sa abiso na inilabas ni Erice, kasama niyang nanumpa ng pakikiisa sa partido ni Moreno ang anim na konsehal ng Caloocan na sina Alou Nubla, PJ Malonzo, Alex Mangasar, Ricardo Bagus, Jacob Cabochan at Russel Ramirez sa Kapetolyo sa Kartilya ng Katipunan sa Lungsod ng Maynila.

Ayon kay Erice, bagamat napakahirap ang kanyang desisyon na kumalas sa Liberal Party na aniya’y nagsilbi niyang tahanan sa loob ng labingwalong taon, ito lamang daw ang nakikita niyang solusyon para makatulong pa sa bawat Pilipino.

“Hindi po madali ang araw na ito para sa akin. Labingwalong taon po akong naglingkod ng tapat at aktibo sa Partido Liberal ng Pilipinas. Naglingkod po ako ng buong giting at tapang. Subalit ang mga panahon ito ay di pangkaraniwan. Kaya may tawag po ang bayan at sasama po ako sa isang partido na nakikita kong makapagbibigay liwanag sa kadilimang dinaranas ng ating bayan sa ngayon,” saad ni Erice.

Binigyang diin pa ng kongresista na umabot hanggang sa Caloocan ang matapang na paglilingkod ni Moreno sa kanyang mga nasasakupan lalo na sa panahon ng pandemya. Hindi tulad aniya ng palpak at mabagal na pagtugon dito ng Department of Health o DOH.

Kasunod nito, mainit na tinanggap ni Moreno sina Erice at anim na konsehal sa kanilang partido at sinabing welcome ang mga ito lalo na’t iisa ang kanilang hangarin sa kani-kanilang mga nasasakupan. Malalim din aniya ang pinagsamahan ng dalawang lungsod.

“Welcome po kayo sa Aksyon. We can work with anyone, as we have been showing in the City of Manila. Kalaban man o kakampi sa pulitika, kasama namin sa pamamahala.”

“Natutuwa naman ako, ang Manila at Caloocan ay may kasaysayan na malalim sa lumang panahon ng pag-aalsa ng mamamayan laban sa pananakop ng Kastila,” ayon kay Mayor Moreno.

Ipinahayag din nina Erice at anim na konsehal kay Moreno at sa kanilang bagong partido na taos puso at buong loob silang makikiisa tungo sa pagseserbisyo publiko.

“Kami ay tutulong sa yo, sa yong pagkilos upang ibangon ang lugmok na bayan na ito at basagin yung pagwawalang bahala sa mga halal ng bayan sa pagkalinga sa ating mga mamamayang Pilipino. Maraming salamat Mayor Isko sa pagkakataong ito. Salamat po,” ayon kina Erice at anim na Konsehal ng Caloocan.
