3D animation ng campus master development plan ng MCU (Manila Central University), inilabas ni Architect Felino “Jun” Palafox, Jr., principal architect, urban planner at founder ng Palafox Associates.

“We are thrilled to be Manila Central University’s partner in shaping their campus redevelopment plans. With the conceptual master plan, we hope to provide students, faculty, and visitors with a smart, sustainable, healthy, and resilient campus by introducing seamless pedestrian and bike networks, renewable energy sources, water recycling, and expansive greenscapes, among others,” ayon sa pahayag ni Architect Palafox.

Kinakatawan daw ng master plan ang Manila Central University bilang sentro ng “educational excellence” pati na ang pagiging “smart, sustainable, healthy, and resilient campus.”

“One of the main features of the master plan is that 50% of the land area of the campus will be accessible by walking and biking. To further reinforce pedestrian accessibility and seamless connectivity between all major parts of the campus and open spaces, interconnecting elevated bridges and a covered walkway network were introduced,” paliwanag pa niya.

Ayon pa kay Architect Palafox, kasama rin daw sa plano sa MCU ang paggamit ng “renewable energy sources, water recycling, and alternative mobility modes like e-vehicles.”

Target na makumpleto ang bagong disenyo ng harapan ng Manila Central University sa June 2023. Sa loob naman ng 20 years isasagawa ang iba pang plano sa campus.
