Kasong murder isinampa laban kay Congressman Arnie Teves kaugnay ng mga patayang nangyari noong 2018 at 2019

Sinampahan ng four counts ng kasong murder si Negros Oriental 3rd District Representative Arnolfo “Arnie” Teves at limang iba pa sa Department of Justice ngayong araw, March 7. Kasama ang mga pulis ng CIDG, nagsampa ng kaso ang mga pamilya ng mga biktima kaugnay ng mga diumano’y patayang nangyari noong 2018 hanggang 2019. Hindi ito konektado sa karahasang ikinasawi ni Governor Roel Degamo.

Ayon sa abogado ng mga complainant na si Atty. Levito Baligod, ang mga testigo raw sa kaso ay mismong mga kasama nang isagawa ang pagpaslang.

“Ang mga witnesses ay yung mga tao na kasama sa pagpatay. Ito yung assassination team at nag-execute ng affidavit ang mga ito… Itong apat na witness kasama sila sa pagpatay. Yung isa siya ang nagdrive ng motor, yung isa siya naman ang spotter or lookout, yun ang role nila,” ani Baligod.

Paliwanag pa ni Baligod, sa apat na murder case na naifile ngayong araw, kabilang daw dito ang kaso ni Board Member Miguel Dungog na mula sa bayan ng Siaton, isang nagngangalang Mr. Libron at isang Mr. Ba’to. Hindi raw maalala ng abogado ang pangalan ng ikaapat na biktima. Nangyari raw ang pagpaslang sa kanila noong 2019.

“Ang sinasabi ng mga ito ay dahil kalaban sa pulitika specially si dating Board Member Miguel Dungog. Sinasabi nila na nagkaroon ng survey doon kung sino ang pwedeng lumaban kay Teves at lumabas ang pangalan ni Miguel Dungog, na popular siya doon. Yun ang kuwento ng mga ito,” kuwento ni Baligod.

Pero hindi lang daw apat ang kakaharaping kaso ni Congressman Teves dahil may paparating pa raw na ibang demanda.

“Apat ang naifile namin, but I think there will be more because in my record, based on the complainants, there were 12 murders committed between the period 2018 and 2019, involving one group of hired assassins lang. Tatlo lang ang mga ito pero dose ang napatay,” sabi ni Baligod.

Tinanong din si Baligod kung ano ang ebidensyang mag-uugnay kay Congressman Arnie Teves sa mga patayan.

“Inutusan sila mismo. Allegedly they were summoned by Congressman Teves, gave them the instruction to assassinate these victims, marami pa silang detalye na sinabi. Nung tinanong ko nga kung anong ginamit na baril, anong oras, ano ang damit ng victim, nasasagot nila. I was convinced of the credibility of the witnesses. That’s why I helped the families file this complaint at the CIDG… Binayaran sila at the same time regular sila na workers kasi yung isa worked with the congressman for 12 years already. Empleyado sila but at the same time kapag may pinapatrabaho sa kanila binibigyan sila ng pera. At binanggit naman nila kung sino ang nagbibigay ng pera,” dagdag pa ni Baligod.

Ayon pa sa pahayag ni Baligod, kay Congressman Teves diumano nanggagaling ang bayad at panggastos ng mga salarin.

“Iba-iba. Depende sa location kung gaano kalayo ang target. Pero doon sa isang binnanggit nila binigyan sila ng 50 thousand pesos para sa operating expenses nila,” ani Baligod.

Nilinaw din ng abogado na tatlong linggo na raw nilang kausap ang mga testigo sa naturang krimen. Nagkataon lang daw na sumabay sa nangyari kay Governor Roel Degamo ang pagsasampa nila ng kaso. Nasa pangangalaga raw ng mga awtoridad ang mga testigo.
