Lindol naramdaman sa Caloocan; Bagong patrol cars para sa mga pulis; Bar passers mula sa UCC School of Law ipinagbunyi
Reggie Vizmanos December 6, 2023 at 04:17 PMNaramdaman ng mga residente ng Caloocan ang pagyanig ng magnitude 5.9 na lindol na naganap sa lalawigan ng Mindoro.
Bandang 4:23 p.m. nitong Martes nang nilindol ang Lubang, Occidental Mindoro, ayon sa Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Sinabi ng ahensya na tectonic ang origin ng lindol at may lalim ito na 79 na kilometro.
Naramdaman din ang pagyanig na may iba-ibang lakas sa maraming bahagi ng Luzon pati na sa Metro Manila.
Agad nagpatupad ang Caloocan Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) ng evacuation protocol para sa mga empleyado at mga mamamayan na nasa maselang lugar nang naganap ang pagyanig.
Nag-inspeksyon din ang City Engineering Department, Office of the City Building Officials at CDRRMO sa mga gusali upang tiyaking walang tinamong pinsala ang mga ito at ligtas pa ring gamitin. Sinuri rin ang Caloocan Sports Complex kung saan ay nasa 5,000 guro ng elementarya mula sa iba-ibang pampublikong paaralan sa lungsod ang nagtitipon kaugnay ng Ulat sa Guro ng LGU.
Samantala, tumanggap ang Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) mula sa lokal na pamahalaan ng walong brand new mobile patrol vehicles, apat na Kevlar Helmets at 70 posas.
Sa pormal na turnover ng mga sasakyan at kagamitan sa CCPS nitong Disyembre 5 ay binendisyunan ang mga ito ni Rev. Fr. Arvin De Jesus ng Saint Gabriel the Arcangel Parish Church sa lungsod, at pormal na tinanggap nina CCPS Chief Col. Ruben Lacuesta at Assistant Chief of Police Lt. Col. Enrique Torres mula kay Mayor Along Malapitan sa isang simpleng seremonya na ginanap sa New City Hall.
Ayon kay Col. Lacuesta sa kaniyang text message sa ARKIPELAGO NEWS CALOOCAN, “Truly blessed po ang Caloocan CPS dahil ang ating butihing Mayor Dale Gonzalo Along Malapitan ay very supportive sa amin sa pamamagitan ng pagtiyak na may sapat na kagamitan ang ating personnel in terms of mobility requirements, at andyan na po ang naunang 8 mobile cars na brand new at may mga motorcycles pa na darating this year at marami pang karagdagan next year na mga patrol cars at rescue vehicles at ganundin po sa pagpapatayo ng bagong gusali ng caloocan cps.”
Sa iba pang balita, umani ng pagbati at pagbubunyi ang 11 graduates ng University of Caloocan City (UCC) College of Law na kabilang sa mga pumasa sa ginanap na 2023 bar examinations.
