SAN JUAN — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. visited a local market in San Juan City on March 18 to personally inspect food prices amid the ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
During the visit, the President said the country’s food supply remains stable despite global uncertainties.
“I am glad to report that our supply remains sufficient and prices are stable,” Marcos said.
He also assured the public that there is no cause for alarm, noting that the national government, in coordination with local government units, is closely monitoring the situation.
The President further warned that authorities will take action against individuals or groups involved in hoarding and price manipulation to protect consumers.
