Three suspects arrested following armed robbery in Parañaque City
Anna Hernandez November 2, 2024 at 02:33 AMPARAÑAQUE CITY, Philippines – A quick response from the Parañaque City police led to the arrest of three individuals suspected of participating in an armed robbery at a residence in Multinational Village during the early hours of October 30.
According to a report from Police Brigadier General Bernard R. Yang, District Director, the incident took place around 12:30 a.m. when a group of six armed men allegedly entered the parking area of a house at the intersection of Matthew Street and Multinational Avenue. The household, which included two Chinese nationals and four Filipino stay-in staff, was held at gunpoint. The suspects restrained the residents with duct tape and subdued the in-house security guard, identified as S/G Julius, before advancing to the master bedroom.
The primary victim, a Chinese national identified as Lin, was reportedly coerced into unlocking a vault where approximately ₱700,000 in cash was stored. An additional ₱280,000 was taken from another victim, Yu, also a Chinese national, along with various pieces of jewelry valued at around ₱400,000. After the heist, the suspects fled the scene in a sedan, escaping through Multinational Gate 1.
The Parañaque City Police Station quickly launched follow-up operations, using intelligence and surveillance to track the suspects’ vehicle movements. Witness testimony led investigators to identify one of the suspects, known by the alias Brian.
Police apprehended three individuals identified by aliases Brian (38), John (33), and Jevic (29), all employed as drivers. Three other suspects, known as alias Ruel (40), Ramel (40), and Agustin (37), remain at large, with police actively pursuing leads to locate them.
Robbery charges have been filed against the suspects in custody, while further efforts continue to bring all those involved to justice.
