VALENZUELA CITY — Valenzuela City took a significant step toward becoming a smarter and more digitally connected city as Mayor Wes Gatchalian represented the local government at the Philippine Telecom Summit 2026 held on February 5, 2026.
The city’s participation highlighted its growing partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), led by Secretary Henry Aguda, underscoring Valenzuela’s commitment to bringing national-level digital innovations directly to the local community.
Through this collaboration, the city aims to strengthen digital infrastructure, improve connectivity across all barangays, and deliver smarter, more efficient digital services for every Valenzuelano.
The initiative also seeks to open wider opportunities for students and workers by equipping them with the tools needed in an increasingly digital economy.
Anchored on the concept of “Digital Bayanihan,” the partnership ensures that Valenzuela City remains future-ready—empowering its citizens to thrive, adapt, and succeed in the modern age.
