Police mobile patrollers nab 2 robbers in the act of heist

BUSTOS, Bulacan – Two robbers were arrested while in the act of pulling off a heist inside a hardware store in this town early yesterday morning (February 2).

Maj. Michael Santos, Bustos police chief, identified the arrested suspects as alias Jerrymie and alias Joseph.

According to the initial investigation, a police mobile unit conducting patrol inspections around 4:20 a.m. came across the two robbers in the middle of a heist inside JLO Hardware in Barangay Poblacion.

The officers immediately apprehended the suspects and recovered ₱5,980 in cash taken from the cashier’s table, along with a .22 caliber firearm without a serial number, loaded with five bullets.

The suspects are now in police custody and face charges of robbery, illegal possession of firearms, and violation of the Comelec gun ban.
