Vaccine express ni VP Robredo sa San Pedro, Laguna, biktima ng fake news

Sa kabila ng mga naglabasang fake news sa social media, ipinagpapasalamat ng lokal na pamahalaan ng San Pedro, Laguna ang karagdagang 4,457 na nabakunahan, na nasa mga vulnerable catergory noong August 28 at 29. Ito ay sa tulong ng vaccine express, sa ilalim ng programa ng Angat Buhay ng Office of the Vice President (OVP).

Sa mga mapanirang post na umikot sa social media, nakasaad na ang inisyatibong ito ni VP Leni Robredo ay para pumapel at agawin ang kredito ng vaccination express mula sa vaccination drive na ginagawa ng lokal na pamahalaan ng San Pedro.

“VP Leni Robredo ah nagrebrand lang pala kayo ng efforts ng LGU with matching sariling tarpaulin. Nice!,” ayon sa isang post na may hashtag pang #campaignmode and #thankyouLGU.

Naging dahilan din daw ang vaccination express ng bise presidente para makansela ang mga naunang schedule ng bakunahan ng San Pedro LGU.

“A4’s vaccine schedule has been canceled here in San Pedro Laguna to give way to VP’s project Vaccine Express so the credit goes to them again. Salamat daw VP,” nilalaman naman ng isa pang post.

Mariing pinabulaanan ng OVP at ikinalungkot ni VP Leni Robredo ang kumakalat na fake news. Aniya, sa gitna ng panahong nakapagtatala ang bansa ng mga all-time high na kaso ng COVID-19 ay may mga taong pinipili pang siraan ang mga inisyatibong tulad ng vaccine express, na ang tanging layunin ay makatulong na mabakunahan ang mga Pilipino sa lalong madaling panahon.

“Nakakadismaya na sa panahong dapat all hands on deck tayo, pinipilit pang itulak ang panglalait at pangmamaliit sa mga nais lamang tumulong,” dagdag pa ni Robredo.

Nagbigay rin ng opisyal na pahayag si Councilor Bernadeth Olivares, chairperson ng committee on health ng Sangguniang Panglungsod, na walang kinanselang vaccination program ang lokal na pamahalaan at tuloy tuloy ang mga schedule nito.

“Huwag po sana nating haluan ng maling propaganda upang hindi mabalewala ang efforts ng lahat ng mga volunteers at partners na ang adhikain lamang ay makatulong sa ating mga kababayan,” pakiusap ng konsehal sa mga nagkakalat ng fake news.

Ipinaliwanag naman ni Robredo na sa ilalim ng programang vaccine express, nagbibigay ang OVP ng manpower tulad ng mga doktor, nars, medical student, at mga non-medical volunteer, gayundin ng mga karagdagang gamit at supply para maisagawa ang maayos at mabilis na pag-administer ng bakuna na inilalaan ng mga partner LGUs.

Kaya naman, tinawag ni Robredo ang mga mapanirang post na kawalan ng respeto sa napakaraming volunteer at partner para sa mga vaccine drives gaya ng vaccine express.

Pinaalalahanan din ni Robredo na maging mapanuri ang lahat at huwag basta maniwala sa nakikita at nababasa online.

“Mag-ingat po tayong lahat, hindi lang sa COVID-19, kundi pati na rin sa fake news,” pagtatapos ng pahayag ni Robredo.
