A fugitive wanted for rape was arrested Monday afternoon in a swift takedown led by cops from the Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS), officials confirmed.
The 1:20 PM bust went down in Sitio Matarik, Barangay 175, Camarin, where authorities from the Warrant and Subpoena Section—under the watch of Police Colonel Paul Jady D. Doles—tracked and cuffed the suspect, who had been hiding out despite a no-bail warrant for his arrest.
The order came from the Regional Trial Court, Branch 14 in Ligao City. Cops made sure to record the op using an Alternative Recording Device (ARD) for full transparency.
After his arrest, the accused was taken to Caloocan City Medical Center for a routine checkup, then brought to the Investigation and Detective Management Section for temporary detention.
Cops Nab Homicide Suspect in Barangay 180
A 33-year-old fugitive wanted for homicide was finally collared Monday afternoon in a quiet Caloocan subdivision, ending a manhunt led by the Northern Police District’s District Special Operations Unit (DSOU).
Cops swooped in around 4:00 PM on April 28 at a house in Miramonte Park Subdivision, Barangay 180, nabbing the suspect known only by his alias, “Tata.” Authorities served a warrant of arrest from RTC Branch 77 in Malolos, Bulacan. The court had earlier set bail at ₱120,000.
To ensure the bust was by the book, police used an Alternative Recording Device (ARD) throughout the op.
By 6:00 PM, “Tata” was booked and locked up at the Northern Police District Custodial Facility in Barangay 14, Kaunlaran Village.
