Kaarawan ni Gat Andres Bonifacio ginunita sa Monumento, Caloocan; Mabigat na daloy ng trapiko naranasan

Pinangunahan nina Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin at Mayor Dale Along Malapitan ang paggunita sa ika-160 taong kaarawan ni Gat Andres Bonifacio sa Monumento Circle sa Caloocan.

Si Bersamin ang kumatawan kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa programa at nanguna sa pagtataas ng watawat ng Pilipinas pati na sa pag-aalay ng bulaklak sa monumento ni Bonifacio sa nasabing lugar.

Nakiisa rin sa okasyon ang mga miyembro ng diplomatic corps kabilang si Papal Nuncio to the Philippines at Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Archbishop Charles Brown.

Kasama rin sa programa si National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) Chairman, Dr. Emmanuel Franco Calairo, at iba pang opisyal ng nasyonal at lokal na pamahalaan.

Binasa ni Bersamin ang mensahe ng Pangulo para sa okasyon.

Sa kaniyang mensahe, sinabi ni Marcos na inaanyayahan niya ang bawat Pilipino na tularan si Bonifacio sa kaniyang kabayanihan at pagmamahal sa bayan, at ipakita ang mga ito sa pang-araw-araw na gawain.

Dagdag pa niya, “Sa diwa ni Gat Andres Bonifacio, tayo ay tinatawag hindi lamang ialay ang buhay sa Inang Bayan kundi pati ang pagbuhos ng kahusayan, galing, tapang, at oras upang ang bawat hakbang ay maging ilaw na pag-asa at inspirasyon para sa ating mga kababayan.”

Kinilala rin ni Marcos ang mga manggagawa, pulis, militar, medical practitioners, mga guro at OFW na aniya’y nagsasakripisyo rin para sa bayan.

Ayon naman kay Mayor Malapitan, hindi dapat matapos sa pag-alala ang tungkulin sa bayan at kapwa, at kailangan aniyang isabuhay ang turo ni Bonifacio at maging mabuting ehemplo sa kapwa.

Samantala, nagdulot ng matinding pagsikip at pagbigat ng daloy ng trapiko sa bisinidad ng Monumento ang programa.

Bagama’t naglabas naman ng abiso ang lokal na pamahalaan tungkol sa pansamantalang pagsasara ng ilang lugar at kalye upang bigyang daan ang okasyon, marami pa ring motorista ang hindi alam ang kaganapan kaya doon pa rin sa lugar ng Monumento sila dumaan na nagresulta sa pagkaipon ng maraming sasakyan.
